Doom Metal Only Thread!
Well i know there have been other threads on Doom Metal, but haven't had posts in a while. Also last time i revived a thread instead of starting a new one i got whined too. So let's talk!

Can someone explain to me what Doom Metal is? What I think it is, is a slow, sludgy form of metal. Am I right?

Krux Pentagram Reverend Bizarre Saint Vitus Solitude Aeturnus Thunderstorm Trouble Witchfinder General \m/ those are my favs. Finding traditional doom metal sucks though because there 1 million of those annoying funeral doom bands. I've seen a couple of vids of Sun o))) and while there costumes were sweet they were fairly boring. What are their albums like? are they all similar? I'm just not sure how you can mix it up when you play drone doom.

Most discussions about doom fill me with despair. Someone's going to start talking about My Dying Bride next, I just know it....

^ awesome band.. I also am a huge fan of Funeral Doom and Esoteric, amazing band, though when I listen to that band for more than 1 hour I want to kill myself..
And once again.. There is a Metal Reocomendation Thread which has lots of doom metal bands, lmao..

With Esoteric, I find that there are a lot of moods within their music that don't just focus on depression. Every time I listen to them, the songs take me on a journey that's quite different to the normal despair and depression of a lot of other FD bands
