stop bashing the strokes you pretentious fucks.
but honestly, though. is the strokes on fifth place really that bad? they did change the musical landscape of the early 00's, and it's a really catchy pop album that i'm sure will live on. mgmt, on the other hand... decent list, though. |

i'm not an enormous bright eyes fan, and it's probably not his overall best work, but damned if i don't love "i'm wide awake." land locked blues changed my life in middle school.

i hold that maybe two of the albums listed are ones that actually belong on the decade-end list.

Should've been a different Elliott Smith album dont you think?
I think Brand New are solid and that album is really good. I'd also place Microcastle above a lot of those albums but overall a good list even if it is seriously lacking in Pixies albums.

![]() i never got any of the love for the strokes. dudes were always pretty bland. Quote:
Bam Thwock is probably top 50 songs of the decade for me. so much fun, even if it is a bit mindless. Quote:
agreed. glad that it ended up happening.

i've been meaning to compliment you on the titles for a while now, they're quite wonderful I must say. Reminds me of this time I named a mix i made for someone "If Nietzsche Were A Mermaid" also the list is pretty meh.. I'm happy modest mouse is number one although i wouldn't exactly say that was the best of the decade. |
