I finally found it! The setting for Metallica's "Kill Em All" Album.
Gain: 8 Bass: 8.5 Middle: 1.5 Treble: 10 That should get you the right crunchy fuzz sound. |

I cannot believe there isn't an incubus tone up here. Help me out here, I'm trying to find my own and if i do I'll post it but it think it's going to take me a while.

i think his tone in GNR is similar to Angus Young's tone, cranked marshall of course, with a bit more gain. like: cranked JTM45 Gain (sort of deep purple ish) lots of crunch EQ: Treble 8 Mid 8 Bass 5 try that. les paul and bridge pickup. marshall amp would work. with the bridge pickup, u might just be able to get it with all the knobs at 5. haha.

I see how they both sound similar, Izzy uses a Bassman head into a cab that has Celestions on the top and EV's on the bottom. Anyway, those settings work great. Big kudos to you my friend. |

i thought Izzy was a les paul marshall guy hahaha. nvm then.
for stevie ray vaughan, scoop the mids. not totally scoop, but scoop it more than when you play the blues. treble 10 middle 4 (7 if u don't have a tubescreamer) bass 9 and use a tubescreamer to boost the mids. should sound a little flat, but with accentuated treble and mids still. these settings can get muddy on some amps though. if your amp does, just bring back a notch or two from each control.
