What would this be called? If assumed in root position my best guess is an Asus2/Maj7. But I could be wrong. Sounds very... "floaty."

That looks like a Dsus4/F#. D, F#, and A make a D, but there are 2 Gs, which are the forth. Since the F# only appears on the bottom, I'd go with something like Dsus4/F#

Gsus2/F#. The fact that it has a F# in it already means it can't be a Dsus4/F# however it could be a Dadd4/F#. For it to be a suspension the note that the suspension resolves to cannot be in the original chord. Also if we're going into proper chord doubling, it would be very unusual to double the suspended note. It would normally be the root or 3rd that gets doubled, with it being the 3rd here since we're in a 1st inversion chord.

These are the chords preceding:

Bbmaj7 Bb6 *whatever that chord is* Eb c-7 F9

(if you wanna try it out in flow try 12/8 at about 70ish bpm)

The reason I though it wasn't an Abwhatever is that the song is very much in Bb and the bass note remains on Bb

actually i tried the chords and the Ab on the bottom actually sounds better

e
b
G---8
D---8
A---8
D---6

instead of

e
b
G---10
D---6
A---6
D---8

theyre the same chord, but after the Bbmaj7 and Bb6 the Ab kinda sets the tone and making the transition to Eb sound really nice! try it

I'm glad you liked them so much! they are a part of a song I wrote for my junior recital, but they're just chords. your version sounds nothing like me so its all cool!
