Punk forum off-topic discussion thread!
This thread may very well die instantly but hey, I think its a decent idea.
I just wanted to make a thread to discuss random things that are on our minds regarding punk or ska. For example, I'm sick of wanting to talk about the awesomeness of the blue album but not wanting to revive an old and dead Adolescents thread. So, what's on your mind? Dig up any old albums that you forgot were so amazing? Got a favourite song at the moment? Is this thread going to totally bomb? etc.?

I've been watching alot of "Tribal Life" today and I'm thinking, penis sheaths are ****ing Punk...
Do you think if I wore one to the next concert I went to they would catch on in the scene? And also how come indigenous nudity is cool on TV but when the boobs are actually nice looking it's considered taboo... Honestly, good boobs are like art and should be viewed by everyone. And why the hell are dudes so afraid of other dude's dude parts anyway? It's like eww you watch Tribal life? GAY! You can see their butts! Being afraid of boobs or penises is like being afraid of hands... It just doesn't make sense... God, I'm like the Keroauc of the punk forum. My streams of conciousness be flowin'

I think Joy Division songs are really fun to play on bass, even though they're mostly really simple and repatative. Peter Hook > Flea.
I'm not sure how punk that is, but it's more punk than Iluvpowerchords post, so oh well. I also think the new chat blows. I can't see the punk or post punk faces, and I can't type in pink text anymore. **** that. |

Haha, Iluvpowerchords is so punx he barely had to relate to punk in his post. What a true bad ass.
I'm just listening to "Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World" right now. That has to be my favourite Ramones song evAr.

I've always enjoyed Animal Boy actually.
I truly believe that Super Taranta is the best album of the decade.

I often ask myself why everybody loves Gogol Bordello so much....I mean itīs not even real punk, donīt misunderstand me sometimes I enjoy them too, but that much.........
Internal Riot is much better (in this decade)

There are horns and stuff, but most of the songs have got a different feel than one would expect from albums like Alone in a Crowd. The guitar is almost like Kalnoky's strumming pattern. Plus the vocals sound like Elvis Costello, which I dont think is bad. |

went to a streetlight concert last friday...
...got up on stage at the end, tripped over a fan, grabbed one of tom's picks, and was escorted off stage... i have an extremely high amount of clumsy-ness... wonder if i can use that to my advantage somehow edit: also wondering if my parents would let me go to a venue called shelter in downtown detroit to see bedouin soundclash... actually not sure if its an actual shelter or not
