Guitar experts listen at 1:20 and tell me the cheaper way to achieve this sound effect.

I assuming you mean the high guitar bit.

I'm not brilliant at guitar effects, but that sounds like distortion/fuzz/overdrive with a bit of chorus.

^Or that.

I don't hear any effect. Just wild vibrato.

It sounds like it was double tracked and panned left and right.

Yeah i checked it and you were right ... double take.. pan hard left and right... but i'm sure it's not just a plain distortion.. it has something on it.. fuzz maybe.... where's the experts when you need them ..

I think you just want a decently wet fuzz pedal with a bit of attack added in. The panning and vibrato are the real contributors, though you can probably make it sound good with just one guitar if you really lay into that vibrato.
