Yeah, they are definitely friendly. I must've shot the shit with those guys for over an hour the last time I saw 'em.

Congrats man. Were they playing in the Twin Cities?

^^They played at Famous Dave's in uptown. Not actually a bad place to see a show, though it was definitely loud. I see they're out in Milwaukee this Friday if you need a way to kick off the holiday weekend

I will definitely take you up on that if I ever decide to hit a few shows out your way

On a completely different note, I just finished my senior year of college. I'm coming back next fall for one more semester (it's a long story), but I don't know very many people who will be doing the same so I'm treating this as my "last semester" and walking in commencement with the rest of my class this Saturday.

If anyone here is good at tabbing on guitar pro, then I would love for someone to tab Sam Kinison's cover of Wild Thing originally by the Troggs. I'm sure a lot of you have heard it. But if not look it up on Youtube. The music video is awesome and contains many of rock's most loved legends. Including Slash, Billy Idol, Warren Di Martini, Bon Jovi, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and many many more. If anyone could create that tab I would very very much appreciate it.

No idea. I'm taking two classes this summer, so that rules out an internship. It wouldn't make sense to look for a real job at the moment since I'm coming back for another semester in the fall, so I'll probably just try and get a part-time job for the summer. When the time comes though (next fall after I actually get my degree, which will be in Civil Engineering), I'd like to work for a company that does either geotechnical or transportation engineering as close to NYC as possible.

i think this should go here.. it's more a question but has anybody noticed the similarity in guitar tone between southern rock like molly hatchet and blackfoot and NWOBHM like maiden, mostly iron maiden through powerslave album wise?

Hey Matt, are you playing Max Payne 3? I was playing some Multiplayer last night and saw a Gamertag that read: I BrainDamage I

Couldn't help but wonder if it was you that I shot.

Brutal. Merciless. Unforgiving. Violent. Blood-soaked. Intriguing. Very, very well made. Disturbing. Steeling. Addictive. Gory. Grisly. Shocking. Frustrating. Anger-inducing.

Not at all for the feint of heart. Rockstar has once again stepped up what badassery can be in a video game.

Now that's just the Multiplayer. The single player story is really good too.

Well then. Might have to check it out on PS3, though I'll probably wait until the price comes down seeing as there are a few other games I'd like to buy and play through first.

In case you haven't ever heard this, Youtube rec'd Blue Sky with Duane and Dicky at SUNY Stonybrook. This is the best thing I've heard all month

^^That show was officially released, wasn't it? It's nice to have a good quality live recording of the song with Duane, but honestly...I prefer the studio version.

EDIT: It was officially released: http://www.amazon.com/S-U-N-Y-Stony...band+stonybrook

I did see that it was released, one of 4 live versions that Duane played on. I really dig the dichotomy of Duane vs Dickey on this version's extended solos

Wow, Matt. That show showed up with some serious alacrity. Many thanks.

I will now go and listen to it and drink beers.

Peace.

Just so you know in case you go look up the setlist for the bonus show I sent, the last two songs played that night are missing from the recording. Still, how could I pass up sharing a soundboard recording with a setlist like that? Also, if you wanted to send anything in return I'm all set now at the address I gave you.

Enjoy!

A|:-0-0---0-----3-3---5-5--:|
E|:----------------------------:|
