I think this band just reminds me of a less-powerful version of Slayer, and I'm not even a Slayer fan

as far as the word "fun" is concerned, Municipal Waste kicks ass

As far as fun, beer-soaked party thrash goes, Gama Bomb are far and away the best.

And speaking of Gama Bomb, looks like they're supporting Sabbat in may. Excellent.

I've seen them live too.

So much energy it hurts.

They really don't take themselves seriously though. They know full well that they aren't original, and they're really not trying to be.

^and that's how good thrash is, in my book. imo, it gets boring when it tries to be real branched out and proggy/technical, thus why i never cared for bands like Heathen.

Saw these geezers live at Brixton on Gigantour - and they were amazing

Although Mike (bass player) seemed a bit lacklustre to me - apparently the fame has gone to his head

Exactly. Evile, IMO, aren't that fun. They're not the fastest or heaviest band in the world, their riffs aren't memorable, the vocals are appalling.

If you want fun, go to a Municipal Waste show. Evile just bore me to tears, which is a shame, as from live banter/interviews they seem like really good guys.

Duncang, I know we've argued about this before, so I apologize

Meh

This band is alright for an aul headbang. Maybe with a can o' Bud.
Other than that I wouldnt touch off em and as Nosferatu said I'd listen to some Slayer instead. (Or maybe some Kreator )

Well, I'd whack on something more... intellectual myself. Evile just seems a little too run of the mill. I'm a sucker for originality, thus my obsession with everything Devin Townsend touches, Meshuggah, Behemoth etc. I need something original!

liek teh lostprofets hahahahahahahahahha

I love these guys, who cares if they aren't original or innovative, they sound good and they have only released one album, so who knows where they can go from here.

I've seen Evile a number of times and live they are really ****ing cool. They get a really good pit going. Their performance of Battle of the Bands 2 wasn't their best tbh. I left the gig feeling a little disappointed. Then again I was going to see them the NEXT day and they made up for it then.

While you can argue that they are not the most original band ever for a first album I think Enter the Grave ****ing rocks. I am sure they will grow and I'm really looking forward to their new stuff.

I've spoken to them at the underworld and barfly a number of times in London and I just get that vibe from them that they know they need to get better but at the same time they know they've got time. They've not let getting signed or recording with Flemming Rasmussen go to their head.

Gama Bomb (also just signed to earache) ****ing rock as well... plus they have funny as **** lyrics.

They are an ok band, nothing spectacular, but I wouldnt get up and turn it off if someone put it on in the room or anything.

It annoys me when people say that they're not original. They're not trying to, they're like Municiple Waste - just want to have a great time playing Thrash.
