I don't really see the Smiths as a single band, they released four great albums. I think for me it goes The Queen is Dead>Louder Than Bombs>The Smiths>Meat is Murder>Strangeways, my favorite song is Asleep.

Louder Than Bombs isn't an ablum as such, though. It's a singles compilation.

Also, somebody should start a Smiths group.

I quite like the smiths, although i think morrissey's voice and lyrics do sometimes let down the bad somewhat.

I'm not denying that he writes some interestin material. It's just a bit hit and miss is all.

and when he misses, it's painful.

I suppose. Personally, I'd get the others first, but everyone else seems to adore it.

Well, then yeah, you should get Strangeways. That's all you're missing really.

Absolutely terrific band.

I wasn't really into them (Mr. M's voice never really appealed to me) but someone lent me their greatest hits and I think it was the next day that I went out and bought all their albums. They pull you in like a very bad man and do lovely things to you.

I got into them through "The Queen Is Dead", although I used to get a headache after listening to Morriseys voice for long periods of time.

Just got The Smiths though. Nice album, even if it has a dull track or two.

^no wai, except maybe the end of miserable lie. the smiths never cease to make me feel nostalgic in a sad sort of way.

The end of "Miserable Lie" is actually one of my favourite Smiths moments.

god i love the beginning so much, the end not so much. the ending of "some girls are bigger than others" though is one of my favourites.
