Right this is what i am into at the moment!

Sum41 - all the hard hitting songs
Bright Eyes - Lifted album, and wide awake.
Circa Survive - on leting go, havent heard their first album. Actually i don't like alot of it just the medicine poison dose song and the all your friends are gone.

So basically something that feels like the writer is in a big rut and wants to get out by becoming something amazing yet at the same time thinkin maybe he'll never get there. Something lonely, and lonely out of choice because he's ditched everyone 'cause he has no time for them but then he still feels lonely but better than before now he's away from it all...

I really need a band that just rocks. I'm looking for something in mostly major keys with fun, happy vocals and lots of power chords. I want one of those bands that you just blast in your car and it is EPIC.

any suggestions?

Not power chords, but Algernon Cadwallader is perfect for that.

thanks guys. those were great.

and here's a thread I posted in the pit. but as I suspected, I got a bunch of songs that no one would know save a couple that were suggested. since most of what I'm looking for is in this genre, I think you guys would be able to help me a bit better.

Quote:
yeah, a thread that's been done before a million times. However, the threads I've looked through when I searched just didn't have what I was looking for. :/

so I just need some quick suggestions and then I'm off!

I'm looking for songs that are well-known (singalongable) and have pretty easy chords.

some examples:

accidentally in love-counting crows
brown eyed girl-van morrison
dare you to move-switchfoot
wonderwall-oasis
good riddance-green day

kinda get what I'm going at?

and by well known I mean well known . I would play it for a group and everyone would be singing along. all help is very much appreciated.

^ but a lot of pop punk bands have good, fun songs but they just aren't as powerful as they could be. I'm yet to find the perfect "rockout" band.

Most of you are likely to have already heard of them, but if you want to submerge yourself into some deep stuff, Say Anything is the ticket. Between their unpredictable guitar/instrument changes and out-of-the-box yet grounded lyrics... it's hard not to get lost in it.

okay here are a few that i remember from living there for the past three years. im not saying these are the best, many of them i dont even personally like, but there IS a hell of a lot of pop-rock in and around the cardiff/valleys area.

saidmike
attack! attack!
the new 1920
the story so far
sunday in the hotseat
working class heroes
kick box riot
s.k.w.a.d.

those are all just the best known. the top three are the best three IMO.

EDIT: this is what last.fm has to say. im clearly in a helpful moody today!

OLD a static lullaby is half-decent. sounds a bit like old FATA.
