I've been listening to Sinister Glorification recently and I can't understand how any metalhead wouldn't like it. Satanic black/death metal that might remind you of some Grand Belial's Key, it's atmospheric, melodic in parts and addictive. The riffs are catchy but evil sounding, the vocals are classic, the mood is ominous and gives the same kind of feeling as 60s British horror movies (I got the exact same vibes from this album as I did from the movie Witchfinder General, and any music that replicates that feeling is an instant classic), though the album mostly takes inspiration from the more recent (I think late 90s or early 00s) movie The Ninth Gate (Roman Polanski) which I haven't seen but might after listening to this album, and which - from what I can guage from IMDB - seems like a bit of a throwback to older horror films.

Anyway, check out their MySpace and AudioStreet, or better yet just buy/download their album Sinister Glorification. You won't be disappointed.

I like this, a lot. I find their use of somewhat melodic riffs, blended with an overall oldschool dm sound highly enjoyable.

What a coincidence! I just did a random buy of Sinister Glorification a couple of days ago when I saw that it featured 2 members of the godly epic doom band Altar of Oblivion. I look forward to hearing this one when it arrives.

Checking it out right now, Sinister Glorification was a kick ass song, and I remember really liking Grand Belial's Key when I was first getting into more extreme metal, I'm gonna have to get Mocking the Philanthropist again.

Good death/black metal with some melodic tendencies, featuring sound clips from such great movies as "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" and "The Ninth Gate"!

What's not to like? Now go listen..

Randomly found it on my iPod today. Had completely forgotten how I was taken aback when listening to this band for the first time.

Listening again now, definitely worth some necromancy. amazing black metal, riff-driven in the same way GBK is, but with a different sound. will give most thrash/power bands a run for their money with these riffs, and littered with ninth gate/twin peaks samples, and the music to match the atmosphere of those films

Honestly it sounds like the music I was writing when I was 13. Pretty much the opposite of the kind of metal I'm looking for.

If you are going to go on another rant about BTBAM I'll pre-rant with "you are completely wrong"

yea but BTBAM was the best Death album and for me, is what signalled the end of the old school death metal genre

Ah yeah I forgot about that. Chuck Schuldiner was the original "Chad Kroeger" of Death Metal. His insight brought on the new wave of Death/Speed/Black bands such as BTBAM.

Fucking love this project. Sinister Glorification has some creatively killer and memorable riffage and song writing!

From the North - Satan!
From the South - Lucifer!
From the West - Belial!
From the East - Leviathan!

I love how "bouncy" some of their riffs manage to be, vaguely reminiscent of the approach that Arghoslent does so well. I would say CB is very different then Arghoslent but they both have a sound that lets the Heavy Metal shine under the deadly attack of Death sounds. Bouncy but dark!

Your pre-rant could use some work.
