Sleep

Greatest band to ever be labeled stoner doom.

Dopesmoker is the most amazing album when intoxicated and when sober.

Worship and discuss.

Stoner =/= Doom
Nonetheless, joint place with Kyuss for best stoner band ever. Dopesmoker still sounds absolutely fucking huge to this day.

From what I've heard so far, I prefer the seperated bands (Om and HoF) to the complete thing.

Om is great idea but it gets a bit boring for me. I haven't heard Hof, maybe I'll check them out.

Nope, that's the name. Cisneros said that originally, they didn't want a name at all, and they'll be called <silence>, but the record company and distributors told them they can't support them like that, so they just picked the most non-verbal thing they could think of.

I'm 13, man, I ain't got much money, and the very few record stores near me have much albums released from non-major labels (And even then, you might have trouble finding popular metal stuff). Also, I'm kind of a sociable guy, so I've got other stuff to spend money on, too (Bus fare, food, liquor, etc).

But don't take me as a total money-grabbing jew or anything, I've spent around 80 bucks worth of metal albums (I barely find any underground-ish metal albums, so when I do, I'll buy it) in the last few months. I know that's not a lot, but I have to spend money on guitar equipment and headphones and stuff, too. 'Sides, if it weren't for downloading, I would'nt be into music this much, and I probably wouldn't be into metal at all.

Anyways, back on topic, Dopesmoker is gold.

Well the money you spend on drinking, which is unbelievably stupid for someone your age, could be spent on music.
For $30 in total you could have bought Volume One, Holy Mountain, and Dopesmoker from the used section of Amazon.com. Thats £15 in real money, which is an average price of just one CD in the UK.

People managed to get into bands based simply on word of mouth, reviews etc as little as ten years ago, so why now is everyone so dependent on downloads? Half the fun of finding a new band is waiting ages for a CD you have never heard before and bought based on a review to arive in the mail, and hearing it for the very first time.

Kids these days...

There's also the possiblity of disappointment at said cd which is gay, with all the good reviews bands I dont care about get I'd have slaughtered a day care center to this day and age specially cause I have financial problems and no extra gay expenses that involve vices, I've bought the CDs that I love so on so forth...

As for the band itself... Ill check it out now <_< lol... Electric Wizard didnt do much for me though I wonder whether they're in the same league?

Way to go, failurekid. Prejudice, underage drinking, and generally being a burden on society, in addition to stealing music. Your parents must be so proud.

Underage drinking and perhaps prejudice seem to the only problem, I kinda doubt he really hates jews or anything of the sort
