Meh.

ML > Razorbacks.

Razorbacks are really stupid IMHO.

So you've been saying that Razorbacks are awesome without playing them!?

I can't stand them really.

You're going to hate it too if you like thin necks.

Oh right. Pretty cool guitar from what I remember. I'm pretty sure the neck is thin on that one though.

Yeah well, the Razorbacks (at least the Explosions) and the American Deans have the V profile necks, which are pretty thick. Almost like the end of a baseball bat but a bit thinner.

I've always loved how good ml's play (plus all the sweet electronics and hardware with them), but my local guitar store always has the ones that are too "flashy" for me, IE the bumblebee slime.

That would be a Razorback, not an ML.

When I recently bought my Razorback, I came to find out today that Dean is releasing a Stealth soon. Then I almost puked because I was looking so ****ing hard for a Washburn Stealth, but now Dean will release one later on.

Whatever I think Ill buy an ML way later down the road. Then I can compare the two.

If I was going to get a ML I would get the DFH.

If I were to get an ML, it'd be a TCML because Korean Dime guitars are pretty turdy.

Hey I was wondering, I finally decided on the '79 re-issue ML, is there any way I could get two volume traction knobs and one tone (not traction) like the dime ones? I love the traction knobs, but I can't find any at guitar center. Also, how would I go about replacing the knobs?

you can find them on ebay
traction knobs as far as replacing them, you just pull off the old ones and slip the new ones on

Just go swap them off a Razorback at guitar center.

You could probably get them to order you some direct from Dean.

Honestly though, you don't really need the traction knobs. The normal ones are just as good. You won't need the tractions unless you eat a lot of greasy foods.

Hey thanks guys! Yeah I don't figure I'll need 'em, just love the damn things lol! They're really comfy and good for adjusting on the fly.

Oh hey, theres a new Dean ML coming out called the MLK ML Knight (LFR, EMG 81-85, matte balck, comes w/case), does anyone know if this is a set neck or bolt on? Reason I ask cause I found it $100 more than a '79 here and I was planning on switching to EMG's or Blackouts with the '79 eventually, but it doesn't say what the neck setup is (bolt on, neck thru, etc) so basically does anyone know any more specs on this? Doesn't say it there or dean website. Also is it a C neck or V neck?

Reason I ask is cause after I played a set neck (of any type, les paul and everything, those don't even give you great access, but the ML is the best I've played! Wanted a dean ever since I started tuning that thing!) I'm seriously starting to hate everything else! Once I get to the about 17th fret on my schecter I instantly suck! And I mean HARD!

But I seriously can not find anything on the internet about this other than the Dean website and the above link, and neither has any neck details other than wood. I'd have just made a topic on the Dean forum but a mod hasn't approved my account yet, it's been two ****ing days, it's starting to really piss me off if anyone has an active account if you could ask for me you'd seriously be a godsend!

Anyways, thanks for any help!!!
