I have had 12 chord charts approved so far, and a day or two ago I had Beatles "The Long and Winding Road" (chords only) actually rejected. This is my first rejection and I have no idea why it was rejected.

A possibility is that it wasn't in the original key - rather the key I sing it in - however this is easily fixed with the transposer - that's what it's for. I think I added a "original key is XX" line in the tab.

However the tab I posted was far more accurate than the one onl;ine - and has been busked on the street a number of times for testing. It's a money song, I can tell you. The additional chords in my tab make such a difference to the sound of the song.

Anyway, can I please get more info on exactly why the tab was rejected. I reckon 12/13 ain't bad, but I'm more a 100% sort of guy....

Hello. This is my fourth rejected tab, for no obvious reason. It doesn't differ from my other tabs I have submitted up to time, and it's not a duplicate.

Here I have attached two of the rejected tabs...

Thanks!

I resubmitted one of the tabs, now with one part more and some additional details. Hopefully this will do, because there are not any major parts that can be added..

It was too wide. I rejected it. Make it shorten and resubmit it, then post back.

Not sure what you meant, but I removed the unused strings and it now *should* be OK.

Is there a function on UG so I can put in a chaord chart, and have it transposed for me automatically before we get to apporval/reject stage - just a sort of transposer facility on its own, I mean... ???

You made it even worse dude!
I clearly said it's too wide, I mean number of the column shouldn't exceed than 80 in each line.
Do it again.

Bustopher
No, there isn't.

Yep, I figured that long time after I posted the tab.

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/home...p?tabid=1207492

PS. I think this is the same tab, but now edited rather than a new one.

Just a question, don't know if I should ask it here.

Right, so I've been posting Guitar Pro tabs in this site.
Great.

But there are some users who don't have Guitar Pro, but may still want those tabs.
Guitar Pro has a "Export as ASCII" option that lets you export any gp5 file into a normal "tab" with ASCII text.

My question is, are we allowed to both submit the Guitar Pro tab and the ASCII tab?
If not, then is there a way for people without Guitar Pro to access the ASCII representation of the tab?

I don't think you guys would really allow it, since it's basically duplication of 1 tab, and can make someone the "greatest contributor of UG" when in fact he actually contributed half of the stuff.
But other than maybe the site having a specific option that lets users without GP to download the ASCII tab, I dunno

Question

Thanks for this great thread here, but is there a way to see what the votes were on a tab after it has been denied? It's not necessary, but I'd like it if I could.
Thanks!

So I'm not literally wondering where my tab(s) are.. but I just saw that I have "25 rejected tabs"

They all must have been years ago because to my knowledge I havent had any rejected for ages. Can I see what they were/when they were? Can they be sent to me in PM, or have they been wiped from the database or whatever?

Generally you can't get your rejected tabs after 48 hours.
