Similar to the EHX Users' Guild, I shall form a Visual Sound Users' Guild.

This thread is for discussion on the company that has some of the coolest pedals on the market.

To get things started, what VS product do you own? I personally have a V2 series Double Trouble Overdrive.

Are the V2 pedals any different than the original pedals tonally? From the pictures it just seems smaller and less sturdy but I don't know. Maybe being a owner someone could clear that up.

^ I thought you had no need for pedals?
Seriously though an H2O would be nice, i'd like a Route 66 overdrive as well.

Ya, I wish I had no need for pedals. I should have bought the Spider III.

/sarcasm

But, kidding aside, I really do love Visual Sound pedals. They are really great products, I just wish they were more affordable. Or I wish I would stop blowing my gear fund on crap I don't need.

I don't have any Visual Sound pedals, but I do have the 1 Spot power supply. Works great for powering any and every pedal I've used.

Have owned an H20 replaced that with the boomerang chorus delay. No more unity gain problems. Also owned the route 66.Something was mising that I just coudn't put my finger on replaced it with a Barber tone pump. Visual sound makes some good pedals but not the best.

I borrowed a Route 66 once . . . couldn't believe how much it buzzed. Holy crap.

But it sounded incredible. I love the H20, too. Anyone have any experience with the Visual Volume?

^ Nah.

The Double Trouble is really cool. I can get a pretty awesome range of tones. I'd get an H20, but I don't think the delay would be long enough for my uses.

I'd get an H20 but I don't reckon it's as good as a Deluxe Memory Man.

Any thoughts on that?

I like the chorus better on the H2O and the delay better on the DMM.

It depends on what you're aiming for, it's a chorus/echo; the DMM is delay, if you're interested in a chorus and something like slap-back than the H2O is suitable, the DMM is for you're crazier delay needs.

On the subject of VS pedals in general, I'm thinking of the Jekyll and Hyde - but, I'm curious as to the range of tones they can produce: bluesy? classic rock? grungey? modern/hard rock? metal?

Basically, what is the range of the J&H?

The Jekyll and Hyde, I'd imagine, would be able to do just about anything. A single overdrive on my Double Trouble can get up to classic rock territory, and the J&H has a distortion channel as well. (In case you didn't know, the OD channel on both is the same.) The J&H should be able to do at least hard rock if not more.

If you have anymore questions, you should ask Slats, because his son has one if I remember correctly.

BrainDamage also has a J&H, there are a couple decent online reviews too with some demos.

I have a VS one spot powering my EHX pedals, does that count? I like it way better than the Dunlop Brick though. Its much easier to use and saves space.

Lol he's not alone I got a #1 Echo and Sovtek Smallstone.

Of course there's always room for my 1 spot. I especially like how the wire length is long enough to reach my pedals form the outlet. The other adapters only go out about 4 or 5 feet.

Had I traded it for an MI Audio Crunch Box. While the J&H was nice, I didn't use it enough to warrant keeping it.
