Noble Beast - 2014 USPM

This power metal band from Minnesota recently released their face-melting debut.

Listening through it for the first time right now, halfway through and I just had to post it.

You had me at USPM.

Listening now. What I've heard has me....

I can't even...

Kyto...

This is wonderful. It's a little soft and cheesy, but I'll be damned. I prefer a bit more grit in the vocals, but this is right up my ****ing alley.

Getting this CD first thing in the morning.

Vocals are a bit hammy but it sounds cool.

Honestly, I'm reminded of Falconer slightly with the melodies, and Galneryus with the vocals. I love this Kyto.

The vocals can get a bit too medieval for my tastes (especially that first song), but I can definitely get behind these riffs.

I actually really like the vocals, so yay for me.

The vocalist needs to listen to some Jag Panzer and Tyrant. Less Rhapsody of Fire in those vocals and more grit would be amazing.

The riffs are undeniable though.

I'm having quite mixed feelings about this. Some parts are glorious (yet incredibly cheesy in the European way) and others are less spectacular.

I hear more of Yama from Galneryus, and even Jens Carlsson from Savage Circus in some parts, but I can see what you're saying. Yeah, I would like a bit more grit in the vocals, but I think this is a very good debut album. Dragon Reborn has my soul right now.

The vocalist for Rhapsody of Fire is named Fabio Lione. He is a tone deaf pseudo-opera wailer. This guy sounds nothing like Fabio Lione.

I actually hear more Matt Barlow in places.

It is fairly good music though and I definitely enjoy it.

I get a lot of Blind Guardian in the vocal melodies. Obviously, he doesn't sound very much like Hansi Kursch, but he sings some stuff that Hansi Kursch would sing.

I thought it was pretty damn awesome. There is an ever-so-slight Black Metal influence at times in it without losing the overall focus which I really enjoy. The riffs are pretty freaking huge too. Third track is my favourite by far.
