for acoustic go for Alice in Chains- Got me wrong, it's a fun song that you can play acoustic and when you get a little better learn the leads.

I'm working on my lead abilities and i have nothing to play to expand them, except for a few simple runs that aren't very satisfying. I would like a solo that is fast, but not too complex, preferably a metal song, but it doesnt really matter. Thanks.

Hey, I'm looking for a song that features a solo in Mixolydian. I want it to be rock, like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Gn'R, SRV at the bluesiest. I've been playing about 2 years.

Crazy Train would be perfect for you, so would Sweet Child O'Mine if you can stand hard rock.

I believe Constant Motion by Dream Theater is Phrygian. Although I'm sure it's not what you're looking for I thought I'd throw it in as reference to the sound and style.

I would prefer an acoustic song OR an acoustic version of the song.
I've been playing for a year, I can tremelo and.....
I play mostly alt. rock or reggae, rock is good as well

I'm looking for something tough, I just learned Dust In the Wind by Kansas and Behind Blue Eyes by The Who and they were both quite easy, but fun! So songs like those (fingerpicked) would be awesome as long as they are hard.

I'm looking for something to improve my skill, something I'll need to practice for more than 10 minutes before i have it down.

Thanks

Angeles - Elliot Smith
New American Classic - Taking Back Sunday

I might as well try my luck with this thread.

I'm looking for a nice bluesy-rock ballad similar to Hendrix's Little Wing or SRV's Lenny. I can play Little Wing all the way through pretty much up to speed, and that's about the most difficult song I can play.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

I need an acoustic piece, maybe just below advanced level, to perform. I dont care what it sounds like, just as long as I could play it nicely and well. Something a bit easier than "Asturias" or Tommy Emmanuel's "Somewhere over the Rainbow".

Thanks, I'll get those songs and a few others as a starting point for this guy. So far, he seems pretty damn good.

Our band is looking for some more songs to play, but we can't come up with much. Can someone please recommend us some songs? (Nothing terribly difficult!) Here are some of the songs we've already come up with:

Make You Feel Better - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet
Lake of Fire - Nirvana
