the CPU trading in 2k12 association mode is way better than in 2k11. you still have the option to turn on forced trades though, but that's no fun.

and they don't update the rosters once the season is over. they even turn the online servers off once the new one comes out

I played both and both are terrible. I got a first round pick for Diop. Desagana Diop. Oh, and got another one for Matt Carroll. Neither were expiring contracts either, just apparently teams are ******ed in the game.

And to the second bit, that's one reason to say "**** off" to their bullshit. I'm not paying 65 dollars a year for their online play.

Got 2k13 this morning. Had a busy day so only managed to fit in a couple of games. Was pretty good though. New collision system is great, and the AI seems to be smarter. Controls will take a bit of getting used to though.

I'm not sure those fines will help much with flopping, I think it's better to punish them by taking away minutes.

Am I alone in thinking the Hawks aren't going to be as bad as everyone's saying? We're not a 4 or 5 seed like we have been the last couple of years but I think we're definitely in the hunt for a 7 or 8 seed. We've lost JJ and Marvin Williams but we've got more depth than we've had for ages, and our backcourt is one of the deepest in the league.

i've never gotten a ******ed offer like that, but i don't attempt to trade too often so maybe it is more common than i realize

2k13 looks great though...

I used to play a lot of association mode, every time I started a new one I pretty much shipped everyone I didn't want and I'd get offers like that fairly regularly. Not from someone with a surefire lottery pick usually, but a future 1st rounder from a playoff lock.

I'm always gunning for the Hawks, but I won't be surprised if they miss the playoffs this year. They'll still be tough, and deep as you said, though.

^i've seen it brought up before. a specific one i remember is bill simmons saying he is bird 2.0 and how he used to think that "model" would be retired for good.

lebron is way more athletic than bird, but their games are definitely similar
