i kinda feel like a regular now.

speechless.
... almost.

definitely not the end anything, Alex. but a shift in focus is always a good thing.

buddy guy? i like the sound of that.

rudolph. lol. i knew a rudy. amazing guy. i don't think i could live up to the name.

it just feel weird being on this side of the congrats.
*gets misty eyed*

anyway, i think it's time for me to take a break from writing for a while.
i'll still be doing crits and write a verse or two on the lyric game.
i've submitted a lyric review to Steve. if that goes well, i'll write more.

Don't do it man! You'll regret it, even if it's just for a week or so.

From my experience, at least.

one learns to write from reading, indeed, but if such was the only necessity a writers own works would be the replication, not the response.

You're a funny guy, I can only assume that you're drunk, or have lost a limb in a terrible accident.

Just noticed the result, a well deserved status mate.

I know its a little late to to say it but you made a lot of sense in the opening post. I did have a prior opinion of a lot of writers around about, not necessarily here, but now, I have this glorious sensation that you, like many other excellent writers here, don't know what your talking about at all, and that comforts me greatly.
Good writing, imo, is about breaking the rules to fit your individual style, and not being afraid to experiment with different ideas to create a canvas of images, not just one idealistic smack-in-the-face philosophy; that just seems prententious and boring to me.

Respect tenfold has now been posted to you... it should be ariving... now!

1- not an excellent writer, but thanks.
2- not a clue.
3- it comforts me to comfort you. ...or something like that.

it's just about time to put this one to bed.
before they turn out the lights, i wanted to post a link to the poem i mentioned.
Be Glad Your Nose is on Your Face

in all the excitement and confusion, i neglected to thank you all.
i suppose that's because i really didn't feel like i deserved to win.
still don't, but i no longer feel uncomfortable about that.

thanks a heap.
