A friend of mine made his own amp sim. One that you can mix with your live pedals without sounding shit. He is not really playing on the clips, merely demonstrating - so don't expect things to be in time.

But the warmth and dynamics? HFS!!!

http://armthetrack.com/index.html

or the utube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRUx...1ORJBkCb97eHb6z

There's no price yet so I'm sure I can put the link up. There's a trial, or at least I see a link to that, lol. Last time I went to jam at his place I see all these frankenstein amp heads with wires dangling, etc... he demo's an amp to me... so creamy it made me cream my pants. It seems he may have the same ideals for this app. Check it out if you wanna.

Happy New Year!

I have a question that I don't want to ask in the metal forum for fear of starting a Metallica vs. Megadeth debate. (In reality, both bands rock, so I'm glad both exist.) When Dave was with Metallica, was he the lead guitarist and the singer, or did he just have Kirk's role of playing lead?

Don't know why you'd need a flame shield. He's great at what he does.

Certain people around here seem to be very touchy when certain composers are brought up. Can never be too sure when one will accidentally hit a nerve somewhere.

But if we're all in agreement that Elfman is pretty neat then I will lower the shield.

i don't have a problem with elfman

i just really, REALLY hate tim burton

like i want to hit him with a brick repeatedly for everything he did to my beta years from 12-16. i still know people who want jack skeleton tattoos in their 20s. why. like, why.

I may post a bit more, and then after that, I'm going to be gone for a while, perhaps a year.

Please go back to the stance that modes don't exist.

Elfman's music reminds me of the "big bop zoobily bing zwope puddin pop" nonsense that Bill Cosby is satirized with.

Just started listening to a lot of CHON. This stuff is too good, I wish they had more than 6 or 7 songs.
