Giraffes? Giraffes!

Giraffes? Giraffes! is an awesome instrumental duo from Santa Cruz, California.

They also have an awesome name. Anyone else here like them?

A bunch of local CT bands played a show with them not too long again. I don't really dig them, to me they seem like just a trendy band.

They do have a somewhat standard math rock sound, but that sound (to me at least) doesn't really get old... for now.

Btw, are they any good live?

judging from various youtube vids they seem very tight live.

love giraffes? giraffes! They're much more than just a standard math-rock band if you ask me.
the second song on the new album is like my favorite to trip my friends out with that monologue.

Yes essentially my favourite band for the past week. Still hard to believe that it's only two members.

Also how dare you leave out the man that rec'd them to you

You bastard

I think I Am S/h(im)e[r] As You Am S/h(im)e[r] As You Are Me and We Am I and I Are All Our Together; Our Collective Consciousness' Psychogenic Fugue is my favourite song atm and seriously am struggling to stop thinking about it.

that one and A Quick One, While She's Away are the best.

These guys need to make like a 30 minute long song for sure.

Actually, they started out in New Hampshire and then both moved to Cali.
Just sayin'.

Very sweet band, though.

I stumbled upon these guys a few weeks ago (I cannot recall the circumstances, but it involved browsing youtube) and I love 'em. Terrific stuff.
