Can you only get get them up to 180? I can get my Passat 1997 1.8T up to 200hp.

Haven't heard that much good about the newer turbo petrol engines by VW, don't quote me on that though.

If not. Get the ZS or they are just so slow and gut less.

Can't find any info on the st, any idea when it comes out?

If not I expect I'll be getting the S but I'm not too bothered about acceleration or top speed, just need it to get from A to B. I just want it to look good and not be painfully slow

If its looks then the "Titanium" is fords luxurey pack where as the ZS is the sporty'ish one... then ST then RS.

The ST has been floating about as coming soon for a good few years now, although Ford have confirmed it will be for sale. Probably this winter if we're lucky.

The facelifts do look really nice though, all these mini aston martins rolling around

A challenger has appeared in my search.

2003 Civic Si hatch. 115k miles. $6000. One owner, incredible external condition. The seats are a bit dingy but that's nitpicking.

EDIT

Game changer

2008 Saturn (Opel) Astra. Also $6k. 108k miles. Leather interior. 1.8L inline 4, 5 speed manual. 3 door. Price is low because Saturn has been dissolved by GM, so Saturn vehicles have lost all resale value.

Granted that is 25k miles (40k km) a year which seems excessive. Do Astras have any bad reliability stigmas across the pond? I'd gamble on the euro Astra still going strong to keep a healthy supply of available repair parts.

Restoring it. Needed some work done with welding and wiring. Got the welding done yesterday so its off to look for rust proofing paint and wait till it gets a bit warmer.

So there's a black 3 door Astra at one dealer, a white 5 door at another. Similar pricing.

The 3 door looks like it was owned by a l33t tuner. The factory 18 inchers were painted black very shoddily. Probably plastidip. They ripped out the stock stereo and put in a touch screen head unit. And it looks like it has a 15% black tint. Upside, black leather interior. Yum.

The five door is bone stock.

I could probably get them to knock like 50% off the price of the 3 door since its got all this aftermarket shit, and I could use that as leverage when haggling for the 5 door.

Now I just need to decide whether I want the sexy looks of the 3 door or the practicality of the 5 door. I do like it in white but the lines aren't as nice. If I could find a white 3 door I'd scoop it up in a second.

Any performance mods to the 3-door?

IMO, it's an Astra. Go for the 5-door and have the practicality, since it's never really going to be sporty anyway.

Just poppin' in here for the first time I believe.. >.>

My 1987 Iroc Camaro :3

Just bought it in December. Waiting for it to get a bit warmer now before I actually drive it. Not exactly a winter car, and considering it's like -30*C on a warm day, I don't wanna risk it.

^ Yeah I live in Manitoba, up North a bit.

this car was just calling my name man! It was previously my boss' car, and I asked him if he ever wanted to sell it, I'd buy it. And just like that, it was mine!

For a first car, it's not that bad

And winter friendly car? Pssh. Who needs wheels during the winter

Plus once I graduate, I'm planning on getting the hell out of here and going to the city or something rather than this little rural bushtown.
