You could also try cduniverse, or a merch store for better prices.

It's strange, amazon is usually so cheap.

I guess I'll check out cduniverse.

Listening to "Red Ran Amber" by Pelican at the moment.

Pelican will always be one of my Top 5 bands. Always.

Everything they put out is class. I just wish I could write as well as they do. Their harmonies/dual guitar riffs are just amazing.

You just can't go wrong with the Lebec/de Brauw combo.

All I have to say is that they will no longer be instrumental, and a certain Mr McGachy will be taking vocal duties.

Also, this IS just a side project, right? Pelican are still going to be Pelican, right?

Right?

The Cryptopsy singer?

I don't even think I want to hear that...

Well, with the current state of metal, something like this COULD happen, and at least seems halfway plausible.

But, is there really a project called The Unspoken Wildlife Specialist?

If not, I'm totally stealing that. ¨_¨

Wow, I can't believe you all fell for that.

Well, actually, I kinda did. I figured he was joking, but I still checked MA to be sure.

Anywho, since experimental metal is part of the topic, I assume it would be acceptable to mention Arcturus here?

Sure. Why not?

I've never actually listened to them, though. I saw part of an "instructional" video on Youtube a while back, it was more or less a "Hey, this is how we play it, and you'll never be able to" kind of thing.
