Coffins
Anatomia King Goblin Funeral Moth Gallhammer Church Of Misery Fastkill Abigail Corrupted Sabbat Would be my list off the top of my head. I don't like all the flowery pop-metal/shred style stuff thats coming out of Japan all that much(allot of the stuff op mentioned is not so bad though). But while small, the extreme metal scene their is full of great bands.

There was a fairly large J-Metal thread a while ago. I'm sure it'll show up in the search engine.
On that note, listen to Gonin-Ish or I'll kill all of you.

I'm surprised that nobody has commented on the TS calling all other metal mindless screaming.

I'm assuming you have yet to listen to the band I posted. If you listened to just the first 30 seconds of track 1 you'd see why they are scary. ![]()

The only J-metal bands I've really heard of is some anime metal band and this weird band (Rock though, I think) that dresses up like women (Called Malice Mizer or something. Honestly, they take the whole "on-stage makeup/ corpsepaint" image to a whole new level
). |
