From what you said, I'd probably like the Bassman more, but Im through with amps for now. Also, why are Tweed Twin Deluxe reissues so much more than a Bassman reissue if the Bassman is more popular?

The Tweed Twin is handwired and uses NOS parts, iirc.

Well, NOS tubes are of better quality than the tubes made these days, so as long as you take care of them, they should last for a few years.

techincally... yes. they have a plexi panel, but generally, when people speak of a plexi, they're talking about the late 60s 50 watt plexi panel JMP and super leads. But yes the JTM45 IS a plexi, but they don't really sound much like the super leads or JMPs and are generally referred to differently. Last edited by al112987 : 09-15-2008 at 08:51 PM. |

Epic, no? Also, I saw an Allen Old Flame head on CL for 800 dollars. It was posted yesterday. It's no longer up.

Yeah, I see a few Old Flame Heads on CL and eBay every now and then. If I could afford it, I'd get it and sent it into David Allen and get it put into a 2x10, where it belongs.

lol alot of those bands use marshall stuff and dont drop A unless your are a Norwegian black metal band, or like having a flabby sound. on the other hand, ive been digging the orange crunch sound for doing more poppy punk stuff. anyone recomend anything? it can be vintage or marshall or what ever. |

But I'm an old fashioned man. I like an amp I can sit on. Not only that, anything Fender-ish, I just don't like the idea of it NOT in a combo.
