This is my latest guitar, Viper-400.
![]() Seriously I have fallen in love with this thing because to me it feels like the perfect mix between a big ol' vintage guitar and a widdlestick It has a nice thick body and fixed bridge so you can beat out riffs on it easily, but the neck is nice and thin, but has abit of shape to it, not too flat. And the fingerboard is nice and flat too. The cutaways make the fret access perfect and the contours sculpted out of the body make it so comphy when playing stood up Honestly, I tried out the ESP Viper but preferd this one because of the thinner neck. I would recomend this guitar to anyone

Hi everyone, for a while now I have been looking at an LTD guitar to buy, and I found a used EC-1000 (The ASB one with Seymour Duncans) and I wanted to know how the Duncans would work for metal playing and how they compare to the EMGs. I play stuff like Megadeth and Children of Bodom. You know, metal.
Also, I used my friends LTD DV8R and it kicks ass.

I'm not shure if alexi is useing the blackouts anymore, the latest pics i've seen he's been using EMG 81's. But for most of his career he's been using (in my opinion) inferior passive pickups. And dave mustaine has used the duncans most of his career. Also bear in mind Lamb of God and Arch Enemy, two bands with really heavy guitar tones use the seymour duncan JB/Jazz combo.
I'd say in comparison the EMG's are more ballsy and big sounding, the duncans have better harmonics, like when you do a big bend it just whails out

How in the world did you manage to get that 350 shipped?! I've been wanting one of those for a while and it would cost me a good amount close to 700

honestly, best guitar I ever tried. Period. It got a bass neck, lol. (kinda) only downpoints I can think of: comes with a shitty pickup and is only made for metal, clean sound with it isnt really cool so I use my other guitar for that. |
