Good one, shit talking a guy on here (Kepulix) who has easily one of the largest knowledges of power metal, and proclaiming a completely run-of-the-mill rubbish band like Sonata Arctica as the best power metal band. You look like a ******. Tantamount to me saying 'Trivium is the best thrash band ever! Slayer are no good! Thrash Metal FTW!!!!'


Anyway to make this post helpful everyone should listen to Savage Grace - Master of Disguise: the definitive (and one of the best) power metal albums ever. Also pay close attention to the cover (which I can't post here)

The proper classification is Ice Metal. Iced Metal is also acceptable.

Admittedly the first few of their albums were typical power metal, with the catchy keyboard riffs and sing along choruses, but Reckoning Night was a solid album.

Too bad they went and made Unia after that.
