I agree with what Kep said about Savage Circus and Persuader. And I went off Falconer a long time ago.

Stratovarius.
Twilight Time was a great album, Episode as well. Visions was amazing and Infinite was pretty good. Elements was pretty solid, but some of their albums just have too many 'filler' songs.

So has anybody here ever listened to Timeless Miracle? Cheesy, but oh so catchy.
And now lets see which people here are Dragonforcephobic.

I love power metal. My favorite genre, not just of metal, but of all music. Honestly, I can't tell you why either, they use the same damn drumbeat in every song and a lot of bands melodies and structures are shockingly similar, but I don't know something about it! it makes my ears happy, and it doesn't even matter how homosexual sounding some of the stuff is(like aquaria, but i still love it). It's rather odd.

It seems Gamma Ray is rarely ever talked about in here. Some of their stuff is excellent power metal.

Gamma Ray's Land Of The Free is one of the best power metal albums ever, in my top 3 probably

LotF 2 has some great songs imo, like Empress (even if it's a copy of Accept - Princess Of The Dawn), Opportunity and especially Real World
But yeah, last year Helloween's Gambling With The Devil beat LofT 2

EVIL EYES ARE STAAAARING AT THE WOOOOORLD I used to be a huge power metal fan, now im only a power metal fan. Has anybody else heard of those obscure-generic-power-metal-bands like Olympos Mons or Cryonic Temple? Or am i the only one? I used to love those. Also, Firewind ftw. |
