I'm micing my amp up with an sm58 going into a crappy art mic preamp, then into my soundcard. I'm using a 3.5 mm cable because that fits into the soundcard. so I need to use the 3.5mm to 1/4 in. converter plug. (the only one i have) to plug it into the preamp. Since i'm using it for the preamp i can't use it for the dummy jack trick. I hope that makes since.

Here to make it simple
I have one of these: ![]() I need two of them to do the dummy jack and record at the same time. Hence No dummy jack trick on the recordings. THATS AS SIMPLE AS I CAN MAKE IT .

![]() OK. I get it. You're just low on jacks. Damn, I've got 6 or 7 here. I pictured a cable coming OUT of Insert 1 to some recording device lol. hahai obviously didn't read your post well. I want a mic/preamp to 'cause all of my clips are with a Canon camera.

Yea i had like 4 of them and they all randomly rolled away. But seriously i just had a eq revelation after reading ibanezpsycho's post. I got my Treble at 5, Bass at around 7, Mids at 4 and with the gain boost off. It's SOOOO MUCH better, its like a whole new amp. i gotta delete some of those bad recordings and put some new ones up.

Don't forget my clips
![]() http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/IbanezPsycho/music/ Speakers info G12t-75's can be quite fizzy on the top end try to avoid them if you can. Great for British voicings, not American voicings. Classic lead 80's are a great lead speaker if you like the dynamics of a Vintage 30 its really close in characteristics but has more of a lead role. So if your a lead player and like the Vintage 30 tone this is a great option.

hmmm oh well ill just paste here what they guy at eminence suggested. I asked him for a all around versatile speaker. "This is very subjective, of course, but I hope I can help. The Tonker or Tonkerlite are great considerations for a Peavey amp and for the versatility you require for this application. They are both very balanced, punchy, warm, smooth and clean with nice top end presence and good low end definition. The Tonkerlite is a neodymium (lightweight magnet design) and is brighter and more tight rather than fat compared to the Tonker. http://www.eminence.com/guitar_spea...12&SUB_CAT_ID=4 http://www.eminence.com/guitar_spea...12&SUB_CAT_ID=4 Regards, Anthony Lucas" |

Some of us use UG black, black text is cancer to us 3. Boldened size 4 sub headings and italiced(sp?) size 1 credits FTW! ![]() Plus, you can always quote my post to see what i've done. If you can be bothered. Night all. EDIT2: [/SIZE] is what you're looking for ![]()

I did the effects loop jumper. This must run throught the other half of the opamp that drives the reverb. It adds a solid state feel to the sound, and I found that it clips easy, and gives the tone a buzzy sheen.
I had already replaced that opamp with a Burr Brown OPA2604, (which has a lot of headroom) and it still clipped. It should be good when running effects though, because you can control the level of return so you don't get any clipping.
