Talking Cheap high gain combo?

I just started in a new band. We are playing a lot of killswitch, system of a down, bullet for my valentine etc. at this current time I have a shitty old Chinese amp my dad got me one year for my birthday so I'm looking for something more high gain. I'm tight for cash too which sucks, I can spare $600 (Australian). Can anyone help me out? I was thinking a bugera 6262 buts that's a bit expensive over here. Even a line 6 spider IV 75w is around $700. I appreciate the help guys

Maybe a used Carvin MTS? Check out used 5150/6505 combo's as well.

Check out randall RG100 combos as well.

Just a few suggestions to keep an eye out on, I'm sure someone can be more helpful.

What model mts? Do you know a dealer near sydney where I can go test one out?

I love the 6505 and the 5150 but people put rediculous prices on them.

Do you need a metal zone for the valveking? (Metalcore in my case) or is it high gain enough I can just use a maxon OD808?

possibly, but I can't give you a definite answer on that, only you can. sounds like you just need to go try a few amps out yourself & see what ya like... also check the gear forums

Reading the title I thought this was going to be a thread about working out.

I recommend Rippetoe's Starting Strength in any case.
