Any particular ones? As a rule of thumb I usually do this: 1: Curveslayer, I fix the contrasts of the picture. 2: Black and white conversion layer (there are many of these, I usually use a hue/saturation layer) 3: Dodging/burning, which is Create a curves layer, then pull down the curves to the image gets very dark, then click ok and press ctrl + i. Then repeat the same curveslayer thing, only you make the picture much brighter. Now you can paint white and black in the curves layers to make parts of it darker, or brighter.

^ For that one I used the exact method described above actually.
Prior to post-processing I used a filter infront of my camera called an "ND Gradient (or graduated ND filter)". If you want nice skies, I recommend buying one. They do this: ![]()

i'll have to try that out sometime. usually when i covert to B&W i use the black and white thingy in CS3, where you can have fun sliding each colour up and down for constrast. but yeah i need to do more with layers and curves and burning/dodging. i guess to start it all off though you need a good photo to convert ![]()

Hooray for new rules
![]() *will add some pictures this evening* I have a bit of experimenting with colours and tones to do on a few of my more recent shots so I may as well wait to see how that goes. Found a few of my shots from College as well and I've been inspired to take some photos unrelated to my course sometime. Been thinking/worrying far too much about wildlife ![]()
