Vampire Cats Update
Has anyone seen the Vampire Catzz on their current US/Canada tour?
I heard a rumor that they're currently recording a concept album with Batmobile called "Batz & Catz". Confirm/Deny?

Yeah, I think Steena and maybe Jordan are the only people who still post that were actually around for the birth of the Vampire Cats...
who I heard are demolishing on their tour, playing no less that 6 basement shows a day. |

Me and Aaron Cometbus roadied on their most recent Eastern European tour. We went all over Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Macedonia and Kosovo.
We played in all of the squats in those places. The punks in Eastern Europe really do know how to get down. It was 3 months of straight vodka drinkin' and sausage eatin'. I hear they're doing SE Asia after their US tour which basically started as soon as their Eastern European tour ended. I don't think they sold out. Did anyone see the super secret show that they played at that Gainesville fest. I heard that KORO, POWERAGE and LEATHERFACE all played. It was supposedly really awesome. PINHEAD GUNPOWDER were gonna play too but I think they were all too drunk, I wouldn't know about it cos I wasn't at that Gainesville fest... I was looking for the punks in Marrakech, Morocco. They're releasing a limited tape series not a new album. Sorry to disappoint. That's what I got in the last communiqué from them. But I heard there would be a series of even more limited concept Floppies... you get a pack of 10 or 12 floppies and there's a concept to the block of floppies... should be good. Did I mention they're 5 1/4 size floppies? edit: By the way, they're a real band. I've toured with them a few times and so has Jordan... we both can vouch for their wildassness and awesomeness. PLUS.... THEY ALWAYS DO THE DISHES!!!! THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW THEY'RE A PUNK BAND!!!!

They also do indeed exist. I've seen them countless times and drove their van on their western canada tour in 2004. They stayed at my house for a week after their show here. Those fools make a mean vegan stew.

Does anyone have any updates on them? I heard rumors of South Africa and South America tours and possibly a split 7" with THE THORNS OF LIFE.
