You probably never will get it, then.

Listening to Portal while playing Call of Cthulhu (Dark Corners of the Earth) makes for some incredibly unsettling moments.

I respect them for doing what they do. They've stuck to an idea and kept the whole mystique thing going well. Watching their vids, they do indeed play some bullshit technical stuff, but I don't get the point if it just sounds like a wall of noise. I suppose atmosphere is all in the ear of the beholder, but to me, it doesn't feel unsettling, it feels like I'm listening to a TV with a broken antennae.
