Nice interview. He seems like a real down to earth guy, and his music is pretty awesome to chill to.

Two other comments hahaha.

He's definitely "The man" with writing a good pop song on the radio charts. Now if only I could occasionally hear something other than "I'm Yours"

One of the few respectable artists on the current pop scene, really cool songwriting.

as much as ive grown to dislike the extremely overplayed "Im yours" I really like his music and he seems like a really chill guy.

Seems really cool. I dig his music too
POSTED: 05/07/2009 - 05:08 pm / quote |
GiveItAll :
he seems over obsessed with acoustics, and fears that an electric will mess up that clean feeling. Well news flash, if your going for the most clean feeling, use violins/orchestra, as the acoustic guitar is actually quite abrasive in comparison to those. At least he realizes how much he limits himself by using just acoustic and very little production.

I have a LOT of respect for this guy. He's doing what he does best, and is so open-minded about himself, and real. Yeah.. yeah. He's almost... normal.

ftw.
but yeah he's a brilliant artist.
he's honestly much better than alot of today's rock bands in my own humble opinion, just do to the fact that he's about the music.
no gimmicks, ya know?

Oh my god dude, yes his voice is so awesome. I think he really deserves his fame, he's brought the world such good music. NO KIDDING, DOWN TO EARTH agh, so many. I mean it's true but. "Down To Earth" comment is starting to be like the "I'm Yours" of songs...lol :P I'm Yours is a good song, notice how it's NOT overrated, it's ONLY overplayed.

There's a difference. And that's a fact, and amazing thing. There's also one last thing, this guy IS BETTER IN CONCERT-than studio.

im yours is overplayed,, and thats an understatement. As for shadow_666, his music isnt really whiny at all, hes definentally not a nobody, but the music does get old. 1 out of three is pretty bad

velvetcradle :
he's a cool guy. im a bit annoyed that all people are hearing is "I'm Yours". I'm a fan of his and he has literally more than 150 songs that are worth hearing.

He's great musically and in his song writing. He actually has some pretty good elctric guitar skills on one of his live albums. a very funky kind of taste.

I highly reccomend that people start listening to his other material. its pretty awesome.

wow i expected all the hardcore kids to be in here trashing him lol, but he is a the only pop artist I think is really original, and yes he is a down to earth guy

fitterhappier34 :
This dude is a great singer and songwriter. "I'm Yours" got annoying after a while, but then again, that's just me and my bad tendency to dislike the song that everybody else is obsessed with. Anyways, it's glad to see that there's maturity on an interview of a pop singer (for the most part.) He deserves the all the success he has. And damn, do I wish I had a voice as good as his...

I like him well enough but what I like most about the interview is at the end where he talks about how he wants to push himself a bit out of his comfort zone musically. I'm looking forward to how that comes out in his next album.

Oh, and it's awesome that he's totally down to earth.

Exactly what I expected, 'cause he doesn't shred. But damn, he's really good with those jazz chords!

Live>Studio

you MUST listen to youtube more than his albums, really. And definitely not just I'm Yours. Great song, but it's not all he has..
