I didn't know either. I hope this is a good continuation of what they've done like he said it was. That's all I want from this band.

This interview sounds like it should be in some kids magazine.

For example "Any chance of a freakin sick guitar solo from MCS in the next Guitar Hero?"

How musically based :\

Asides from some childish questions it's good to hear they aren't changing their sound entirely like most bands do as they cross the threshold of underground to commercial.

I can't wait to hear the guest vocals...expecially Shawn and Rachel's....

Justin Pierre's lyrical talent is wonderful, the band's musical talent is equally as so, if not, then more wonderful!

Even If It Kills Me is a brilliant album! And both of their older albums are hard stuff to beat!

The new album is easily as good as, if not better than their first two cds. There is not one disapointing song on this album. please buy it, dont download it, you will not be sorry!!

just wanted to inform you that the questions are written for Motion City Soundtrack, if you have met the band or been to their shows, they love to have fun and they are pretty random. don't shoot down someones interview, if you have a problem with it, then say it to yourself or your buddy next to you

Got It yesterday, was dissapointed on the first listen, then suddenly loved it the second time through. :p

Not as good as Commit This To Memory, but still damn good. I just think it ends badly, the otehr albums had final songs which left you with a shiver down your spine. Even If It Kills Me just doesn't have that effect.

i dont get it. they r continuing to suck and complain about there lives. music is really going down the drain with emo sorry to say it but it really is.

I love it when people are trying so hard to complain about something they resort to complaining about the glasses they wear. Grow up people.

Someone's got some common sense finally ^^. These elitist metal fanatics think that if it's a break-up song or about a death it's immediately emo. MCS isn't my favorite band, but I recognise that their talented and one of the best live bands in the past decade, and I do appreciate their music.

mcs=emo? lol
i would say they are powerpop/rock
and hopefully their new album is as good as commit this to memory

MCS not talented? They're pretty original and very talented if you ask me. They definately stand out in their genre.

Just bought the album today, sounds pretty sick so far.

haha MetalliRage, you remind me of a 13 year old me.

Metallica, RATM, AND Motion City Soundtrack are three of my favorite bands. It is possible to like multiple genres.

Got the new album and its great!

CoHead :
I agree completely. I love all different genres. Can't we just be one big happy rock music family? Great album by the way. I'm glad they haven't completely redefined their sound like some bands.

Unfortunatly, it's not. They killed the moog, which is why I loved them in the first place.

i dont think it was as good as commit this to memory,(which is easily one of my favourite albums), but its still pretty good. theres a couple of sweet moog bits (fell in love without you and antonia), but its just lacking that "final moment" of the last album. hold me down was a perfect end for commit this to memory, whereas this album doesnt really have a definate end

Im intersestd in them still, but one of there last singles just wasnt too great IMO. I love LGFUAD, i love the future freaks me out, but i havent listened to em recently.

And btw, i love Mastodon, The Hives, MCS, Queens of the Stone Age, and Coheed and Cambria. it is very possible to like different genres.

LMFAO @ everyone who thinks MCS is emo...

I like Jack Johnson and Mindless Self Indulgence, which are completely opposite. Of COURSE it's possible to like different genres.

These guys are amazing i saw them right before they got "Famous" in my hometown. and they sang happy birthday to one of my friends. I hope they stick to the same thing they have been doing cause it's different and it sounds great.

XxBroken_PickxX :
Sorry just an add. Motion City Soundtrack is not EMO at all they just put emotion in their songs to have it hit home better than a song about bull shit.
