All those guys bitching about this, this is the best thing i have seen on the internet since porn. At my bands first practice, i just copied like 50 pages of it and instead of covering Black Sabbath, we went straight to the creative part. Roll On.
mr. blacklabel7, can you teach me how to read tabs. i really want to learn how to read these stuffs. pls.... can you teach me? what do you mean 1 on the E string?
Tab is easy if you think of it this way...
Just look at the tablature as if it were the neck of your guitar, The letter on the left represents the strings, and their note when played open; thus the lower sounding string is E, then A, then D, and so on. Where a number is shown on a string, as in 3 on the e string, that means that you need to place a finger on the fret that is third away from the nut on your guitar neck... thats the head of the guitar.... and so on. If the numbers shown on the tablature are above one another, then those notes when played together are a chord. Remember that three notes, or more, when played together are a chord, and when there is only one number, that means that the chord is played on its own.
OMFG, All these redneck newbies are RETARDS! not talking about the people with serious questions, but all you retards commenting about the lesson and how blank it is... It is ment to show you how a tab should look and how it should be formated. Helpful article.
nice stuff guys
also-THIS IS A LAYOUT MEANT FIR FILLING IN, NOT A LESSON!!!!!
Bloke03:
th
at long song rite at the top is so easy to play
people like you shouldnt be allowed to live
ITS NOT A SONG!!
guitar98765432:you are a complete and total retard. whoever said 'that long song at the beginning is really easy to play' intended it as a JOKE. wow.
this template is very helpful for tabbing out songs and i refer to it all the time .
EEE:yes, an easy thing to do would be to make all power chords.. so
-----
-----
-4-5-7-9-
-4-5-7-9-
-2-3-5-7-
|-----| would be it in power chords
I cant make the tab straight, it always comes out crooked and uneven. Is there some sort of tabbing technique to eliminate this? It usually hapens when I write out double didget notes high on the neck, or when I have to use parantheses for tied notes. If anybody here kows what i'm talking about and could help me out I would appreciate it.
i have just started so this might seem like a really silly question - what does each dash represent, is it a time beat?
ps. all the crosspatches need to pick up their instruments more and chill, its music for goodness sake.
To right the tab you copy and paste it to a word document or processor and it works with this tab. And to read a tab; you've got everything you need up above in those comments. And only some of those comments are actually decent.
So good luck to all you new guitarists! And to the offensive people, stop being so mean!
