Hey guys, Hows it going? Alright, lets go. We all generaly know the blues, right? There is a beat the makes blues well, the blues. For those who read music it usualy a Triplet (Tri-pl-ti). If you have no idea what I'm talking about don't worry I'll explain it. It means your first note with be the loudess or stongest. So, T t t T t t T t t T t t. Get it. We are counting in threes. It's a stong 'T' and then two softer 't t'. T t t T t t T t t T t t. Go back and read the Tri-pl-ti. The 'Tri' will be the stongest note. TRI-pl-ti, TRI-pl-ti. See!! Easy stuff. So try it out on this tab. Let the first note of the three the loudess, how many times do I have to say it?

After you played around with that a few times you might have found it easier to tap your foot. I find it easy to tap my foot every Triplet. Maybe in your head you where counting 123, 123, 123, 123. So, I'd tap my foot every time you'd say 1. Maybe after you get used to counting, tapping and the whole dextaraty thing we'll play around with it. Most of you guys probibly already read this much and endend up finding another lession, if your not a part of that 2% of people you are still ready. Good! Theres more. Let's play around with the rythum. With this next one We are going to play only on beat 1. We will let it ring for a triplet. This might be easier, but you'll have to understand the counting to truly get the point of this exercise. It's to help you count. You'll play on 1, but in tour head you should be screaming out 123, 123, 123, 123.

A little tune I made up on the spot. I left the "." there In hopes that you are still counting in 123's and making the 1 stronger. I helped your rythum so maybe I'll give you a scale to work on and then you can play around with it and make up your own basic blues song.
