Judas Priest 'Painkiller' Solo Lesson
This is one of the hardest solos I've ever learned. The sweeps at the start are quite challenging! Most of it's kind of manageable there are just a few surprising bits of shred. The introduction sweep to this solo involves a rolling flat finger in a sweep. I think it's worth drilling some sweeping exercises that hone in on the rolled flat finger idea, as well as drilling some plain meat and veg sweeps with conventional shapes and inversions. A lot of the other sections work with some relatively straight forward shreds that are all very diatonic and easy to get you head around. You'll just need to be patient with building up speed. Please be patient with this one guys! It's lengthy and there are a few key changes mid solo. Enjoy the video and the accompanying tab!
