m stands for minor, so when it is used m3 it means minor third, am-c has a minor third interval, because goin from am to c you have to go up a minor third

What?

A natural minor scale is minor xD
And Natural Minor doesn't have a raised seventh, that's Harmonic Minor, which these folks don't need to delve into right now.

that was a good lesson a bit blaggy for me but i under stand the whole 3 semitone distance thing , i worked them out using guitar pro its just note names and scale names confuse the shit out of me so much and my brain dont work that way.. i just play what fits together realli lol
