Ibanez tend to place a humbucker in the bridge position, so that's a no-brainer.

The action is the biggest difference. Ibanez has a faster neck. Period.

I agree. I love the Stat tone but Teles have the whole package for me. They feel the most comfortable, etc. My Tele has a humbucker and a single coil with 5-way switching so it's very versitile.

This is a good guitar. I have one, and it has very few bad points.

When i got it, it had a couple of problems with the bridge so i had to re-build part of it, but now it plays brilliantly.

If anyone has come on here to read a review rather than childish "oMg!11!!eleven11111!!1 GiBsOn Is AwEeSomEme lozlZolZOl" then i would seriously advise anyone thinking about buying it to do so.

Overall verdict.

then came my behringer v-tone, cheap guitar yeah, but compared to my old strat, i like it better: bassy sound (courtesy of the large cavity underneath the hood, differs much from the pup cavity of fenders), i use standard strings, not light gauge ones since light gauge usually causes the muddy tone for me, had some mods on its knobs (i used to hit the volume knob when i rock, so i soldered the two tone knobs on one pot and used the mid knob as volume, eliminating the original volume knob), it sounded much better.. the spin? i sold my fender strat hehe..

and please, dont compare how a single coil guitar sounds from humbuckers, and no ditching either, read singlecoil.com for more info abt single coil guitars.. and moreso, singlecoil guitars sound brighter, check kinman pickups, ull see what i mean..

At first the sound was a it off, it needed wareing in
it kept on going out of tune.
After a few days it cracked in the sound was mean and crunchy everything seemed to come along all together.
The sunburst colored body and maple neck with 21 frets made it look like a classic,
the bridge and tuning pegs are better (because its an upgrade)the pegs have new tuning gears on so you can tighten the tension on them.
Everything on it is tough and versatile, i'd say it one of the most versatile guitars on the market
It can play any type of genre well
this guitar is the best

$300-$400 seems fair for a mexi strat. You can get lucky at some places where they could charge $250, but i would really try those out before considering picking em up. There are some overpriced ones too, so going for 350-450 should do you good.

I know, I reckon what it is is that noobs are reviewing their Squiers with nothing to compare it too, so are saying they're amazing, and then proper guitarists are reviewing Fenders in a more objective way, hence the messed up comparison between Squier and Fender. This is a review for a Fender Stratocaster. Not for Gibson models, and not for Ibanez models, Fender!

Honestly, when are you guys going to grow up!! There is no better guitar, that all depends on your playing style, and what you like about that guitar. I own a Fender Standard Mexican Stratocaster, and I love the thing to hell because it’s amazing. I also own an Epiphone Joe Perry Boneyard Les Paul and a Jackson JS30RR Rhoads V, and those are really good guitars too.

For all of you guys that say that the strat doesn’t get good distortion, suck it up. Tone doesn’t come from the guitar; it comes from how you play the guitar. If it really bothers you that much, get a distortion pedal!

For all you guys that say that Fender sucks and Gibson and Ibanez is better, fantastic, good for you. We love the fact that you love guitars and the right of freedom of speech, but please:
A) be mature about it
B) express how much you think Gibson rocks, on a Gibson page!! I promise you you’ll make a lot more friends there than here. Same goes for you Ibanez guys.

Listen, Fender is just as good as Gibson, which is as just as good as Ibanez, which is as just as good as PRS, which is just as good as ESP, which is just as good as Jackson, which is just as good as Epihone, which is just as good as… (I think you guys get my idea)

I think it depends on if you need that humbucker sound or only want single coils. I think the HSS could be a bit more versatile because it has both humbucker and single coils. Go and try them.

Nobody wants to read all of them. Everybody just checks the most recent one. And if you have good/bad experiences about the product, then it's a good thing to write a review. But many times the reviews are pretty bad, like aaronmcm99's. So you get a better picture of the product when you read the comments. Though sometimes reviewing is fun.
