Agreed, Slash replaced Tracii Guns who was in the line up originally, but he wasn't there by the time they did Appetite For Destruction, and that's the line up that is being inducted.

There are a few reasons why a tour of the original lineup wont happen:
1)Unless Izzy has had a change in heart, he wont join the band for a whole tour. He doesnt like that sort of life.
2)Axl's musical differences with other members of the band would cause too much argueing and would in the end rip the band apart again.
3)Axl will want to play songs from Chinese Democracy.

The current members being kicked from the band isnt a relevant factor to stop a reunion since theyre on a contract anyways that can be terminated.

Good news is though however, if they do decide to play the RRHF, it wont be like Led Zeppelin's reunion where they were so out of practice it wasnt a great show. These guys have been playing GnR songs in their owns bands and occasionally with other members from the band consisting with original lineup members.

which is one reason why im going to this the main reason is to see RHCP get inducted well them GnR and Beastie Boys but itd be awesome and sad to see them fight. I do hope that they put it all aside for just one night if anything... but if they do fight then ill bet on Slash lololol

Jason Newstead wasn't an original member of Metallica, but he got in with them; I'm pretty sure that even Robert Trujillo got inducted with them. There are plenty more examples, but that's enough.

I'm pretty sure Dizzy Reed and Matt Sorum will be inducted along with the rest of the band. Dizzy Reed became an official member before they recorded the Illusions.

Teddy ZigZag is on those albums, too, and he also toured with them, but I don't think he was officially deemed a member of the band, although he would get introduced just like everyone else in the band.

But that era was an extension of their original success. I think that's why it counts to the RnR HoF, and that's why I think they deserve to be inducted with the rest of the band (even though they were both essentially hired hands, being told what to play).

You really think they'd get Tracii Guns, he was too chicken shit to leave LA with them, and the original drummer was not Adler either, him and Slash came on at the same time, cause they weren't afraid to do a lil touring. Actually if you read slash's book the more amazing thing is how they got it together enough to even get anywhere near that big in the first place. Axl's definitely a head case and its probably due to a completely f'd up childhod but he wasn't deep in drugs/alcohol like slash, izzy, duff and steven were. As they were trying to write the illusions Izzy freaked out and went clean and at that point he couldnt really be a member of the band anymore since slash and duff were raging alcoholics while steven was always on a coke binge and Izzy didnt want to be around that. Then Axl started showing up late for shows and skipping out on rehearsals. Once that pretty much became normal slash split and Axl blamed slash for the demise of the band. And will most likely blame him forever. Thats why they fight. At any rate, read slash's book. The stuff they went through is absolutely incredible.

obviously... The fact that Guns and Roses even has three guitarists and even ONE keyboardist in their band right now is a joke.

There are so many freking Guns and Roses fanboys on this site its ridiculous. I'm not saying your one of them, and I'm not even saying I dislike Guns (I actually liked their first two albums) but what they are right now isn't even a shadow of what they used to be. I don't even care anymore if they get back together.

It would be awesome if the original members of GN'R, even Slash, attend the Hall of Fame. But my question about it is "what if Axl and Slash fight once more"?
