Finally, a great Ibanez guitar that is easily affordable, and still holds it's quality and low price for lefties. This is my favorite guitar, just because it sounds awesome with my Boss Metal Zone pedal, through a Marshall AVT150H. Too bad it doesn't have a single coil, though, because I can't use the acoustic simulator on that amp.
POSTED: 11/06/2007 08:47pm

this guitar is better then any fender ever made
the only way it goes out of tune is if you don't bend properly, i have never had a problem with it going out of tune, i still need to sand the frets though. but trust me and you can read my review, its worth the buy.
POSTED: 12/17/2010 10:36am

got this guitar bout 2 years ago and fell in love. the stock pickups sounded amazing on my line 6 spider III amp and i recently took out the stock bridge pickup and replaced it with a seymore duncan invader and the sound just became amazing. sometimes comes out of tune but never from bending just from sitting for a long time without playing it. not to mention its a tank when it comes to durabilty. i get mad and toss my guitar on the ground or across my room and the worst damage it has is a little tiny chip of wood off the head of it. i love this guitar
POSTED: 02/02/2011 06:53pm

That would require fine tuners on the bridge to counterbalance the strings going sharp when you lock the nut down.

Also for a beginner guitar this has a lot of 9+ reviews, makes me wonder if the ibanez prestige are the guitar equivalent of the holy grail by comparison.
POSTED: 02/17/2011 12:36pm

Hahaha!!! That guy is complaining that the guitar sucks next to his Gibson Les Paul...duh!

You're right about the height of the other comparaison term. But anyway this guitar is one of the lowest possible incarnations of the Ibanez concept. In fact, it's their replz to the likes of Squier Bullet and Epiphone LP Special.
We cannot ignore the price factor, however a review should tell the truth about instrument's real value. Thus, we have to have a Les Paul or a Start in mind...
An 8,6 makes this low-cost guitar look better than an RGX. Which is totally unfair. I wouldn't give more than a 6,8. Compared to a real guitar, it sucks in all respects: wood, pickups, hardware. It's perfect only for those seriously deprived of any musical sense.
Btw: with only 100 euros more, you can actually buy a real guitar!
POSTED: 02/18/2011 04:34am
