Also, I don't see why you should take off so much for the finish; you knew it had the skulls, and you didn't complain about the quality of the finish workmanship itself, so you're pretty much complaining for your own ignorance.

yes and the fact that he docked points twice for the finish....

It's not really an opinion on a guitar if he's talking of the incapabilities of his amplifier. I could easily say any guitar I plug into my garnet amp sounds weak with out a pedal... gee I wonder why.. it's a clean amp. It's like me saying all my guitars suck because they don't distort the amp. Also why buy a guitar if you think it's hideous? This review loses 9 points for those reasons..
