They're extremely powerful in output, so they actually give feedback easily. I think their design is meant to decrease hum and other small background noise, but the feedback is just a natural resultant of their high power, and it has to be fought off by different means (playing space, EQ, decreasing gain, etc etc...)
POSTED: 09/29/2009 02:40pm

well, it's critical, that's always good.
i think that may be a bit expensive though. i suppose it's all in the mind of the consumer, but that's a lot of money and like zoomzoom said, there are LTDs that aren't all that much lower quality for a hell of a lot cheaper. but hey, if you like it and are happy with what you spend, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
anyways, good review, i was getting tired of all 10 guitars and shit.
POSTED: 09/29/2009 04:56pm

different color, but i think if you look around you can find a black one like the one in the review.
it may not have all the same little things like tuners, but no more than a couple hundred dollars will make it exactly the same. and that's all less than $1,000. that's definitely half of the approximately $2,350 that the reviewer spent on his. not disrespecting him, just showing people they can have basically the same guitar for much less, just with LTD on the headstock, not ESP
POSTED: 09/29/2009 09:28pm

what none of you realise is (like me) this guy is from Australia and payed australian money for the guitar. Here in australia our guitars and amplifiers etc generally cost double what they do in America, for example - http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/produ... TD-FX260-Spalted-Maple?sku=512886
I have checked that guitar out in one of my local music stores and here in Aus it's $900, the vox night train which i think goes for like $500 in America goes for $1000 here, all those Dean dimebag guitars which go for about $1000 in america go for $2700 here in Australia
POSTED: 09/29/2009 09:43pm

Thanks guys. TBH though, I've played all the LTD derivatives of this guitar and the other similar models and they aren't a patch on this. I'm sorry but i couldn't disagree more about the LTD version being nearly as good. Play the LTD one and then the ESP one and I swear to god you'll be able to tell why I paid the extra $$$ for the real deal!

And also, I actually bought this guitar in New Zealand but the Aussie dollar and NZ dollar are relatively the same. Overall I got a pretty good price. I've seen them go for more (native dollars!) on Ebay.
POSTED: 10/03/2009 01:21am

Also dude, my one isn't black, it's Snow White - UG just posted a photo of the black version. AFAIK the snow white ones are far rarer than the woodgrain or satin black ones.
POSTED: 10/03/2009 01:23am
