Hardcore bands these days are always getting negative reviews. They're not your typical metal sure, but that doesn't mean they make awful music. A day to remember has been awesome since day one. I still have yet to listen to this album though.

No, you're not the only one. I was pretty disappointed when I listened to this album. Compared to Homesick and FTWHH, this is a pretty bland and boring album in my opinion. The first track sounded promising and reminded me a bit of Heartless, and I was excited in thinking the rest of the album would be just as good. But every song after that was just kind of "eh..." with the exception of the tracks the second review mentioned. Now don't get me wrong, I still like ADTR. I'm just not as impressed with this album than I was with the other albums.

very true =) I'm a true fan and no matter how they change their sound I will always love them. I agree that the screams are a little overproduced but then again Jeremy has been doing this for awhile =P my only worry is that they will get too big for small venues =/

Well okay cry baby, I'll give this a go. They blend two of the most generic genres - Pop Punk and Metalcore - and fans pass it off as this great original concept. I don't dislike ADTR, but don't act like their literal shit is gold and they walk on water, they're just as blatantly generic as any other band, they just know how to blend generic genres well. There are trolls for every band, get the **** over it (because generally that's a good thing, as they must have some kind of success to garner not only fans but trolls).

I haven't heard this album yet, but I will at some point this week when I have more time, but I thought that while Homesick had a good song or two, the whole album was what I expected, and that's not a very good thing.

Also, lawls at trying to sound heavy by de-tuning what was a shitty riff to begin with, come on ADTR, you know better!

Their song names are more like inside names to people they are close to, and may not make sense to most of us. A lot of them are anyway.

When I say Metalcore, I think most people know what I mean. Seeing as Between The Buried And Me and Protest The Hero are technically considered Prog Metalcore, I'm not in any way referring to the good bands of the genre. Instead, I'm aiming my comments at the stale modern metalcore that you're referring to that, sorry if I wasn't clear about that.

In relation to the first comment, I've listened to many a bullshit conversations that include the words "A Day To Remember" and "innovative".

dude i totally agree. This album is great, but it's not A Day to Remember. They've made much better stuff than this. It's just a fact of music I guess, once bands start to taste the money they slowly become more and more mainstream. It's really upsetting.

I just saw them live in louisville and they were awesome---because they played all of their heaviest songs and then 2 or 3 lighter ones.

Uhh. All other albums were heavier than this. There was only ONE song that didn't have screaming vocals in FTWHH and on Homesick, at least half had them for sure.

The only exceptions are 2nd sucks and Ft Lauderdale, 2 of the standout tracks, which (to no surprise) were written by their ex guitarist Tom Denney and producer Chad Gilbert. so OBVIOUSLY guys, its gonna sound different with Kevin Skaff writing most of it, look at 4 letter lie compared to ADTR.

overall, good album, still growing on me though.

WOW, this is definitely the only album you have ever heard of ADTR's. the tones of the guitar aren't heavy AT ALL. this is a pop/rock album. they have songs in drop A# yet they make it sound as if its in standard. and btw heartless is their heaviest song. ur a ****in retard.

Homesick is insane though, and I think it kicks ass. This is a mix of things. Its good. Not every song needs to be screaming and the same 4 chords over again because thats not music. Very different and spread out. 8/10 stars.

People who think Homesick is the best are either little kids or losers. Listen to some real ADTR. However like I said before, most of that shit is really heavy and full of singalong screaming and fist pumping headbanging shredding guitar. Homesick is my second favorite album.

And I Love their acoustic songs. Just Saying.

They don't sound like Fallout Boy. FB is a gay girl pop band. This is awesome.

No, you're not the only one. I was pretty disappointed when I listened to this album. Compared to Homesick and FTWHH, this is a pretty bland and boring album in my opinion. The first track sounded promising and reminded me a bit of Heartless, and I was excited in thinking the rest of the album would be just as good. But every song after that was just kind of "eh..." with the exception of the tracks the second review mentioned. Now don't get me wrong, I still like ADTR. I'm just not as impressed with this album than I was with the other albums.

Yeah, that's exactly how I felt. I mean the first song made me feel like the album was gonna be mindblowing and then songs started getting more and more boring throughout the album. Even the closing track was ehh, I was expecting something up to par
with 'If It Means A Lot To You'.
Let's just hope this is their like, "experimenting" album, and that they go back to their FTWHH, Homesick sound

they're changing as a band for the better. this one didn't have many of the heavy parts that their older records did, but they cant keep doing the same over and over again, every band changes with time.
