Interesting and well-written review. I'm not a Jackson fan so I probably won't listen to the album, but I will recommend your critic to people who might be interested in him =)
POSTED: 01/04/2011 06:53am

The album description's blurb is no surprise, considering that he worked with the current (up to the time of his death) wave of popstars and probably agreed to those awful duet remixes that came out on (I think) Thriller's anniversary edition.

This is one posthumouss release I'll avoid completely. With the amount of people jumping on the MJ gravy train since his death, I feel like a lot of chefs were stirring this pot tto cash in.
POSTED: 01/04/2011 11:34am

It is a great 'album' for any fan....i say 'album' because I truly dont believe it sounds like a MJ album. It isnt the way he would have put it together. SO if I avoid calling it the 'new Michael Jasckson Album' and just think of it as a collection of unrleased songs...then its amazing!
To this day there is still not one Michael Jackson song I do not love.... and that is saying something! There are 100's!
POSTED: 01/04/2011 01:32pm

I like how to cover is only black MJ, also I won't listen because it's probs a hugly produced album that's sounds nothing like Thriller. Also I heard one track was done with Akon, so, just, no.
POSTED: 01/04/2011 03:11pm

I liked the Album. It was defiantly a step up from Dangerous, Invincible, and Blood On The Dance Floor... but of course theres only a few songs that could shake a stick at Thriller and Bad. I would say Hollywood Tonight, I can't Make It Another Day, and especially Much Too Soon, which was originally slated to be on Thriller.
POSTED: 01/04/2011 05:32pm

Many believe that Keep Your Head Up, Monster and Breaking News are sung by an impersonator, Jason Malichi.

This isn't just another silly rumour we're talking about here. I've been listening to Michael almost religiously for nearly 16 years, I know his voice, and I know Malichi's. That isn't MJ singing at his worst, it's an impersonator singing at his best. If you don't believe me, go to YouTube and type Malichi's name. Proof is in the pudding. I'm also not the only one who thinks so - his own family says it's not his voice.

This album is worse than a cash-in. A cash-in I can handle, but a blatantly fraudulent disaster like this I cannot. The production on some of the songs is ridiculous and an insult to the man who strove to achieve the best quality possible in every record he put out. Using fake vocals on it is the icing on the cake. Pretty incredible really.
POSTED: 01/26/2011 10:18pm
