now i'm into : bass 4.5 , mid 7 , high 5.5

You should give it a shot. Maybe not the Bigsby or coiltapping, but I'm sure you could figure out how to get some Seymours in there.

I completely agree, I'm always a little surprised when I don't see bass strings on a shape like that.

I tried this and it sounded awful. i went from a Lamb of god sound tosomething like green day. it was awful. maybe my equaliser is a bit extreme, but the one you suggested good_lord, is terrible

I'm currently using a Cort EVL-Z4 which is a pretty decent mid range axe, and rather cheep but it's got some random EMG's (numbers worn off, not 81s or 85s) 22 frets and no wammy or nothing, lol. time for retirement.

The one he suggested was just fine..either you have a crappy amp or your playing technique is bad.
