What is this guy chattin, it doesnt have most of the things you say e.g neck thru, fixed bridge, wizard II neck. Anyway great guitar for beginers, im savin up for a more expensie model now, better pickups, neck, inlay, wood. But ive had it for a while now love it.

The neck and the pickups are the same, but the 270b just has dot inlays.

The only ever serious issue i've had with this guitar is, i dropped it once and the bridge jumped out of place. To this day im not sure what exactly happened, as the second i touched it, it jumped back into place. The only other problem with the 270b is the whammy bar. The nut used to hold it in place becoms very slack very quickly therefore the bar becomes loose. I have since removed it. I never used it anyway

Hey, GRG's are very good for beginners. They look very pretty for a price, but factory settings DOES SUCK. I had to adjust my GRG220DX's truss rod, tremolo.. and a more.

but GRG's are decent guitars for its price. of course RG's are superior in terms of tone and action.

No, this one sounds better, has better strap buttons and I think it's lighter

It takes far to long to tune.

The floyd rose stall transmitt vibrations so that you have to mute all other strings to get a clean tone.

My second guitar was a GRG170DX and i would absolutely recommend it, it was a joy to play and still is five years later, neck was loverly, tuning was surprisingly stable for such a chap guitar and when set up correctly the tremolo was usable, if a little temperamental when set up to float. Sounded pretty nice too.

Man.....the GRG170DX is the shit for how much i paid for it. I got it for 175 on a Christmas special back in 2006. Its still my first guitar, but when connected to a good amp, youd hardly believe the quality for the price. My guitar teacher was like holy shit when i told him how little i paid for it. He uses some sort of Vampire amp cant remember the actual brand and it sounds killer. Great sound, great tones, tuning stays for the most part, although the trem is a floating one, does put you out of tune if youre going crazy doing dive bombs etc...Its just a great all around guitar for anything from Rock to Metal. It can also do some pretty good clean tones when you use the single coil.

when im playing clean stuff on it i always put the switch onto the 3rd position because i think it gives it a more twangy sound :L

Take a thin, hard object and put it between Bridge and body... now the springs can not get out of balance.
I use a Spoon to block my bridge while tuning or exchanging strings!

I have the GRG170DX myself and I HATE the fact there is no locking tuning and that the whammy always gets it out of tune.
