good pedal in anycase
it does have a wide range of sounds, seven models but you can tweak those with bass, mid, mid freq, and high equalizer. the metal models dont really need tweaking, just leave it to the preset and you're fine
the others require a bit of playing around to get the right sound

even if you have lame amp this pedal will make it sound great and you can play literaly everything you want from shredding to power chords and it will all sound great

So... The Blackstar HT-DUAL is No.1 by miles, but a tad pricey. The DF7 is still a really good pedal with loads of options and tweakage with a lot of bang for the buck.
