People are always going to have different opinions though, that's just life. To many this will feel like a 10/10 album, some maybe an 8 or 9, and others might not like it at all. But who cares - in the end a number on a review shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Getting the album today, can't wait to blast the house down.

It's a good album, but it isn't better than Diamond Eyes.

But yeah, it's weird how people have high hopes for a band after enjoying their other albums. Makes no sense imo.

They ended up taking the sound and production of Diamond Eyes , the atmosphere of Saturday Night Wrist , and the lyrical aspects of Deftones to make their most cohesive work in quite some time. (Not that the last three were bad or anything.) Probably their catchiest album thus far, too: it didn't take several listenings to remember all of the songs this time around. So yeah, great album. I could've gone on longer, but that's my two cents.

I've heard good things about this album, but I also heard great things about Diamond Eyes and I wasn't blown away at all by what was on that album either.

Also, I don't get why peeps are comparing Fur with Pony, or Deftones with Adrenaline, if those albums were made in different stages of the band, the setting and sound, the songs and their feelings, everything is completely different.
